Thanksgiving in Utah and the after math.......

First of all, before Thanksgiving, Travis and Megan came down to Turlock. It was a short short visit, but we had fun. Then they went to Megans family and we took off for SLC. That was a short

short visit too. It was nice to be able to see all 4 of my kids in a one week period. So Very Nice.........I miss when I can't have all my kids together.

(Ivy playing in the yard)

One day was spent in the hospital with my mom. She's going down hill fast.....I felt extreme guilt and remorse I am not there more for her........but that's a whole blog in my head.

Baby Ryder was blessed and Chris did a fine job with that

"Sister's.......Sister's.....there were never more devoted Sisters"

Just a few radom pictures.

Last Week of October...

So we had Halloween. It wasn't the best Halloween this year.......I had plans of going to our ward party and stuff, but we were just kinda off. Roger and I kinda dressed up......We went as Sarah Palin and a moose........

We went around Trick or Treating with Mandy's kids.....

Then two days later, it was Tony and Traci's birthday. Tony had the flu so that was bad.

I think I am going to stop working at Wood Design and get a job at Olde Thyme Pasties as a cake decorator. Dang Im good.........Just look at the masterpiece I made Tony and Traci (and we sang to Great Grandma too)....For those who don't know, Tony and Traci share a birthday. I told someone the other day they were my twins.

udate.....

I had to take the off work today to input all the prop 8 stuff our ward has done. (I am taking a break to write this) It seems this is just about all we talk about around here. Everyone but me has stood on a corner with a sign, I just have been chosen to do the computer stuff.
I am so tired of this election......and the prop 8 stuff. It sure is intresting to see how people choose things in life.
My mom got moved and I am so grateful for my sister's for taking care of that. I hope she will be happy in the new place. She can see the Jordan Temple from her bedroom and is real close. They got her recommend for her before she moved. I don't think she can do any temple work, but Nancy can take her over there, and she can do the prayer roll, and maybe eat something....not excalty temple work ( if it was, I would already be a real angel)....
We still have our doors open at work......not to busy but we are still open. I did book a get a way for Roger and I in Tahoe on Nov 6th......he really needs it.

I got a sweet package today from Megan and the kids........
I love being a Mimi.......
Well gots to get back to the prop 8 stuff........love you all

I don't have a picture of Tommy and me........I forgot my camera.

Here is PROOF, Ivy did like me in the end......and my Susie Q, was such a big help.

Kids grow up so fast.......

Hope I get to see all my grandkids often........love you all

Up in the NorthWest

So, I came in last night to baby sit Travis and Megans kids while the go to Hawaii. Susie has clung onto me like velcro. Tommy, was happy to see me, but he's a boy and unless I am going to go Praying Mantus hunting, I am just ok.
Ivy would rather I go back where I come from. I am really hoping that by the time Megan and Travis get back, she will like me.
These are such three sweet kids.............and I am so impressed with how Megan has taught them. Susie just told me I wasn't allowed to put a sock on the coffee table in the front room.
I am praying Travis and Megan can relax and have fun..............

Cute Kids and Cute Rooms

CARTER AND SUSIE SUMMER 2008

So have you ever seen any cuter 3 year kids? I found this on my camera, and just miss these little guys. I love the goofy smile Carter has on his face.

So this is one of my back bedrooms. The guest room. I have been collecting vintage hand held mirrors for a while. This is about a 150 year old door I made Roger make into a headboard....not sure what else I am doing this this room.

This is another collection I have a problem with.......These are VERY old Blessing/Christening gowns......again, not finished with this room.......but I love old things. I love to think about the history of what the item had. My collection of camera's needs a place.....It will come together, when I have some more time and energy.

Happy Birthday Mom

I can't figure out my new computer........So I can't put the picture I wanted to on this.........

It's my mom's 87th Birthday today. I am so happy to be her daughter. She's been such a wonderful example for me through out my whole life. When ever I have ever needed her, she's been there.

I have been trying to figure out what the best quality my mom has, but I am at a loss. She has so many of them. I would be 100% happy with my life if I could be like my mom. She never complains.....I don't think a person could have a better Mother In Law. She never once has come between my husband and I. She has always supported me, my husband, my kids and most of all my dad.

I saw her give countless hours of service as a kid in the Relief Society. And one of the things I have always loved about my mom is she has always laughed at her self. She has a wonderful sense of humor.

I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father that gave me my mom.........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA

Life........or something like it

I haven't blogged for a long time because my computer died. I hate hate hate lap tops. I have one at work, and now I have to use Roger's old one.
In going through some old stuff, I found my old organizer where I had some notes that my dad had said while he had pneumonia. It was the beginning of the end for him........but dang while he was in the hospital, he said some pretty funny things. I just had to share them with my sisters, kids, nieces and nephews... which is most of you.
If my dad was here.........he'd love these. Most of these were said with his eye's closed.

"I'm the Home Teacher of St Marks Hospital"

"I'm grateful The Lord has let me stay here"

While cousin Rolaine was visiting, Dad woke up. We said, Daddy, you have Pneumonia. He said " Oh for Hell sake, I'd rather have Gonorrhea"

"Romeo and Juliet were just a couple of bums compared to Sam and Margie"

"Marge, have you looked in the mirror lately?" while his eye's are closed, then he giggled.

While asleep, he pretended to tip his hat and say, " My name is Sam Rudd and I am a new missionary here in Brazil."

"I had an affair with Eli Harris for 5 days" not true, and I think Eli Harris was one of daddy's companions........LOL

"Margie, call Claine Erickson and tell him to get Judi, Mom and I out of the Human Society" (human, have no clue why he said this one)

"I got a bare nekkid woman standing before me because Margie hasn't put out in 4 weeks"

Cant wait for my kids to do the same with me........

We found out today what kind of Arthritis little Ivy has. She has the middle kind, called Polyarticular arthritis. For three months she will be on Steroids. In this three months, she wont grow. We humbly ask for prayers during this time. ( hope this is OK Megan)

Cute Martin Boys

So I have had to try all kinds of tricks to get Carter to like being around me......one day I took them to this place that had bowling and a bunch of arcades. After breaking two games.........(it was me who broke them).....I saw a photo booth. I have some of these cheap photo's of Mandy's kids, and so I thought I would do one of Hilary's kids.
Sometimes Carter likes me and sometimes he tells me to go back to California. But he's a doll. So is Weston and little E.Z is so sweet. I forgot what a lot of work with little kids 24/7 is. Hilary is healing slower than she did with Carter.....I do miss home, but I am glad to still be needed as a mom

E.Z. Ryder

For those of you who see our blog.....click on Hilary and Chris's name on our list. This is our 10th grandchild. He was born yesterday in Utah and Mimi is here helping out.........Cater and Weston are excited to be big brothers.........Carter just wants Mimi to go back to Californina and wants his mommy back.........

He's a darling baby.....and can I give huge props to my wonderful tuff daughter. She is Da Woman!!!!!........and never complains. She's had a rough go of it here lately....and she never complains.........I am so proud of her.........in fact, Megan was the same way about her C Section.........and Mandy, could have another 6 kids and pop them out.

Weston asked me why Heavenly Father made the women have the babies.............and I bluntly told him because, women are stronger........and can handle pain. Daddy's might have bigger muscles.........but mommy's are stronger......and he said..........OK...........
I have enjoyed these sweet little boys..........they have been good. Cather says "Betuse Why?" every other minute.........and Weston's trying to figure out how to make money...........
Im glad I am a woman...

Camping at Pinecrest 08

So Mimi and Papa went camping with The Days at Pinecrest this week........

We had a great time. We went to go see Kung Fu Panda at the outdoor Amplitheater, made Smore's and had Papa's Micky Mouse Pancakes. We played in the water, fished and got skunked.

I took a lot of pictures....and I just had to share two of these video's.

We had fun with all the kids. Grant had a hard time because he wasn't feeling well. And I love, LOVE having a trailer. It might not be big, but it's got a bathroom that is great.

I taught this song to Paige and Mitchell when Harry was born, and he sings it now.

Just Three Random Pictures.

I had some random pictures on my phone........so here they are.

#1 This is the LDS Tabernacle in Honolulu. It was a really cool. They hold regular church service there.....it was built in like the last 40's

#2 My mom with Carter and Weston.........I lost all the ones of her with Mitchell cause of my regular camera getting lost....She was really happy to see them. And this was a pretty good picture of her.

#3 This cracked me up......Again, this is on my cell phone so it's not that great of a picture. When Dad and I had gone to Hilary's house, the first time I went to the bathroom I had noticed this little face on the door knob........it had pretty much worn off by the time I took this. Westons, little mind is so creative.......who would of thunk that when you turn the knob to lock, it looked like a face? In real life, it really did. I laugh everytime I think about it.

TRIP TO SLC

Well, I haven't posted for a while.......and there is a reason for that. I lost my camera somewhere in between a cemetery and Chuckarama.................scary stuff.
Also, someone stole my meds on the Amtrak train on the way home. Thank goodness, I have an emergency stash .................. It wasn't a very good trip in that regard.
I got to see my mom.............and bless her heart, she's having a rough time of it. I got to spend some good time with Hilary and the boys......
And a "spend the nighty" with my sister's in Heber at Char's.. It was fun.
Just checking in......

Sunday with the Day's

I was the baby of 5 girls. I grew up not knowing a lot about boys. I have since potty trained my kids and taught my boys that if they had to "water the plants" in the back yard or out in the wilderness, it's ok. Mandy has done the same with her boys. However, Harry has been found "watering" the neighbors plants as well....... On Sunday, he decided, he needed to leave a little bit more then water...........in the front yard. Mandy found out, and asked Harry if he had gone poop, and he was very proud to take her out to the front yard and show her. So being the wonderful Grandma I am, I took a picute of it.
I was bothered more by the fact Dad watched him while he was on the phone walking on the sidewalk........and just kept talking.

Paige got a Hula outfit from Hawaii.... I like how Dad is trying to teach her how to Hula.
....The coconuts were a little to small. I am going to save this for her wedding video.......
